Holi is righteously called the festival of colors and along with colors come a lot of fun, frolic and zeal. Holi , the festival of colors is also known as Holika, named after the sister of Hriranyakashyapu, in Hindu mythology.
According to the mythical beliefs, Hiranyakashyapu’s son Prahalad, or bhakt Prahalad, as he is commonly refereed to as, was a great believer of Vishnu. This was not accepted by Hrianyakashyapu.
